Read October 31, 2026, Hong Kong closes November 8 and London January 15, 2027. Interviews mix conversational and case rounds. To rehearse the conversational and case rounds out loud, Soreno, an AI voice interview practice app for consulting, investment banking and other finance candidates, runs a free Oliver Wyman-style case with no sign-up and full mock interviews that score each answer.
Updated
Oliver Wyman's entry-level page sends you to its job postings for the details, and those postings sit on careers.marsh.com because Oliver Wyman is a business of Marsh. Each card below is one posting or one group of postings, read October 31, 2026. The Germany, Austria and Zurich postings give no year.

London
Interns join a project team as fully integrated members and contribute research, analysis, problem solving and client recommendations, with coaching and mentorship throughout.
Oliver Wyman: London 2027Hong Kong and Zurich
Both postings promise one or two projects and a distinct piece of work for the team. Both also say much of the focus will be on research and analysis.
Oliver Wyman: Hong Kong 2027Hong Kong
A dedicated buddy, a formal mentor, and an intern captain who oversees the program, alongside the partners and consultants on your project.
US MBA
Summer Associates run individual project modules, from hypotheses and models to primary research. The summer opens with orientation and skills workshops and ends with a capstone presentation and a full performance evaluation.
Oliver Wyman: 2027 MBA Summer AssociateThe US MBA posting gives weekly pay and a 10-week length. We multiplied the two. Before tax. None of the undergraduate postings we read states pay.
US MBA Summer Associate
$3,650 a week for 10 weeks, from the Health & Life Sciences posting.
Oliver Wyman: 2027 MBA Summer AssociateWe wrote this for a penultimate-year economics student applying to London. It leans only on what the London posting and Oliver Wyman's interview page say. Rewrite it around your own story before you say it.
Open
"Last year I ran the budget for our student theater, and I found I enjoyed the part where a spreadsheet turned into a decision the committee actually made. I want a summer where that happens on a much bigger problem."
Why here
"What drew me to your London internship is that interns are full members of a project team from the first day, doing the research and analysis behind client recommendations. I'd rather be tested on real work than watch it."
Why now
"I also want feedback while I can still use it. The posting talks about ongoing coaching and mentorship, and I'd like to know before my final year whether consulting is where my strengths are."
Close
"So for me it's the work, the feedback and the chance to find out early."
Weaker version
"Oliver Wyman is a leading global firm and I want to develop my skills." It names no part of the internship and no experience of yours, so the interviewer learns nothing.
Why it works
Our view: Oliver Wyman's interview page says the conversational round is about your interest in business, your goals and your accomplishments. This answer touches all three in about a minute and leaves room for a follow-up.

Oliver Wyman's entry-level page says full eligibility is in the job postings. These lines come from the postings named in each.
The entry-level page welcomes all academic majors and appreciates evidence of an impactful life outside your studies. The London posting says no specific major or consulting experience is required.
London and Hong Kong want penultimate-year students, Copenhagen and Brussels students graduating within one to two years, Germany and Austria within the next year, and Zurich students in their third or fourth year.
The Tokyo posting says English fluency is required for positions in all Oliver Wyman offices. Local languages vary: Danish in Copenhagen, Dutch or French in Brussels, German in Germany, Austria and Zurich, Japanese in Tokyo. Cantonese or Mandarin is a strong advantage in Hong Kong, and Arabic an advantage in the Middle East.
Both postings ask for prior internships at a consultancy, an in-house consulting team or an industry Oliver Wyman advises, such as banking, private equity or transportation.

Read October 31, 2026. There is no firm-wide calendar on the pages we read, so each card is one posting. Soonest first.
The posting says to apply by Sunday, November 8, at 11:59 p.m. Hong Kong time, eight days after we read it. CV review starts after the deadline and interviews are scheduled for November. Send one PDF with your resume, cover letter and all transcripts.
Applications close January 15, 2027, and Oliver Wyman reserves the right to close the posting early. Our suggestion: apply well before the date rather than on it.
Applications are reviewed as they come in and the posting closes once every position is filled, so Oliver Wyman encourages applying early.
The Health & Life Sciences posting gives no deadline. It asks you to apply through Oliver Wyman's website and also through your school's portal if Oliver Wyman recruits there.
The Copenhagen, Brussels, Germany, Austria, Zurich and Middle East postings we read give no closing date. The Middle East posting lists flexible start dates.
When we searched careers.marsh.com on October 31, 2026, we found no open US undergraduate consulting intern posting, only the MBA one. Oliver Wyman Actuarial had its own Summer 2027 internships listed. Our suggestion: check the site again over the winter.
Oliver Wyman's interview page describes a mix of conversational and case interviews. The steps around them depend on the office, as each posting shows.
Apply
London asks for a CV and cover letter. Copenhagen and Brussels add transcripts. Germany and Austria add employment references and transcripts that include your high school diploma. Tokyo and Hong Kong want everything in one English PDF.
From Oliver Wyman: London, Oliver Wyman: Germany and Oliver Wyman: Tokyo.
Some offices
The Middle East posting lists screening, an online test, an HR interview and case interviews. In Brazil and Mexico the test has 26 questions in 50 minutes, entirely in English.
From Oliver Wyman: Middle East and Oliver Wyman: Latin America.
Conversational
Oliver Wyman says these interviews aim to understand your interest in business, your goals and your accomplishments, and give you the chance to ask about the firm. Brazil and Mexico run it as a 15-minute fit conversation in English with no case, and someone turned down at that stage waits a year to reapply.
Case rounds
Tokyo lists a first round and a final round, each with several case and CV interviews. Brazil and Mexico run two rounds of two case interviews, all virtual. Hong Kong schedules its interviews in November.
We wrote these. The cases lean toward the industries the postings name, such as health care, banking, private equity and transportation. The second group follows what Oliver Wyman says its conversational interviews explore.
Oliver Wyman asks you to treat the interviewer as your client and to be careful with simple calculations.
A hospital's emergency room wait times have doubled in a year. How would you structure the problem?
Split it into patients arriving, time per patient and capacity, then ask which changed before you name a cause. Practice it, see a model answer
A regional bank's customer growth has stalled. How would you structure the problem?
New customers in, existing customers out, then the segments and channels behind each. Practice it, see a model answer
An airline's profits are falling even though it is carrying more passengers. What is going on?
Revenue per passenger and cost per passenger, with the math on the page and the likely culprit said out loud. Practice it, see a model answer
A private equity firm is considering buying a regional chain of dental clinics. How would you assess the deal?
Market, the clinics' own economics, the price and the exit, with the risk that could break the deal named early. Practice it, see a model answer
How many dentists are there in the United States?
Pick demand or supply, say every assumption, keep the arithmetic simple and sanity-check the answer. Practice it, see a model answer
Have a short story ready for each, with a result you can state plainly.
Walk me through your resume.
Two minutes, in order, with why you made each move and how it leads to this internship. Practice it, see a model answer
Why do you want to intern at Oliver Wyman?
Something specific about the role in your posting, tied to an experience of yours. Practice it, see a model answer
Tell me about a time you achieved something difficult against real obstacles.
The obstacle, what you did about it and what changed, with your own part made clear. Practice it, see a model answer
Tell me about a time you took the initiative without being asked.
What you noticed, why you acted and the result. Oliver Wyman lists initiative among what it values. Practice it, see a model answer
Do you have any questions for me?
Two questions about the interviewer's own work or the office's projects, not answers you could find on the website. Practice it, see a model answer
The Tokyo posting asks you to apply to only one role or office, and Hong Kong to only one in Asia-Pacific. Choose before you apply.
Tokyo and Hong Kong say applications that miss the document requirements or format are disqualified, and Zurich considers only complete applications. Check the list twice.
Several European postings and Tokyo's require a local language as well as English. If you don't meet the line in your posting, look at another office.
The Health & Life Sciences posting offers no sponsorship and treats CPT and OPT as restricted work authorization.
The conversational round covers your interest in business, your goals and your accomplishments. In our experience, a single story stretched across all three sounds thin by the second follow-up.
Our plan, from applying to the case rounds. Start it the week you submit.
The day you apply
Make the exact set of documents your posting lists, in the format it names. For Hong Kong and Tokyo that means one English PDF with your grade average and graduation date on the resume.
Week 1
One on why business interests you, one on where you want to be, one on something you achieved. Say each aloud in under two minutes.
Weeks 2 and 3
Its interview page offers five practice cases, among them Urban Grocers and Poseidon Water Park, and its entry-level page links a virtual job simulation with example tasks. Do them out loud, then a few more with someone playing the client.

If your office tests
For the Middle East, Brazil or Mexico, practice short timed sets of chart and arithmetic questions so the test's pace isn't new on the day.
Talk through an Oliver Wyman-style case with Soreno's AI interviewer, which plays the client, asks for your numbers and comes back with follow-ups on your stories. Every session ends with a scored report. Soreno is not affiliated with Oliver Wyman.
It depends on the office. Read October 31, 2026: Hong Kong closes Sunday, November 8, at 11:59 p.m. Hong Kong time, and London on January 15, 2027, or earlier. Tokyo reviews applications on a rolling basis. The US MBA, European and Middle East postings we read give no closing date.
The 2027 US MBA Summer Associate posting in Health & Life Sciences pays $3,650 a week for 10 weeks, about $36,500 before tax by our math. None of the undergraduate postings we read states pay.
There's no single length. The postings say 10 weeks for the US MBA role, usually 8 to 10 weeks in Tokyo, 8 to 12 weeks in Copenhagen and six months full time in Dubai or Doha.
In some offices. The Middle East posting lists an online test after screening, and the Brazil and Mexico page describes 26 questions in 50 minutes, in English, covering critical reasoning, problem solving, data sufficiency and integrated reasoning. The London, Tokyo and Hong Kong postings we read don't mention one.
It can. Several 2027 postings, including London's, say high-performing interns may be considered for future internship or full-time roles, depending on business needs and local hiring practices. We found no return-offer rate on Oliver Wyman's own pages.
Not fully, in the postings we read. London's and Tokyo's say Marsh colleagues are expected in the office or with clients at least three days a week. The Germany posting says employees are authorized to work remotely, with weekly anchor days for some teams. The Brazil and Mexico interview process is fully virtual.
Oliver Wyman is a business of Marsh, and its careers pages say it is now part of the expanded Marsh brand. Its internship postings, including the ones on this page, are on Marsh's careers site.
