BCG offers consulting internships to undergraduate, advanced degree and MBA students, called Summer Associate in the US and Visiting Associate in some offices. Interns work on real client projects, and BCG says internships last from a few weeks to a year depending on the role and location. Next in the US: MBAs apply by November 10, 2026, and undergrads can join BCG Launch, a free virtual series running November 9, 2026 to February 17, 2027. BCG hasn't posted its next US undergrad window, since summer 2027 has closed. To rehearse the case rounds out loud, Soreno, an AI voice interview practice app for consulting, investment banking and other finance candidates, runs BCG-style cases and fit questions with follow-ups and scored feedback.

BCG's next step for US and Canadian undergrads is BCG Launch, a virtual series on consulting, the Associate application and life at BCG. Sessions run November 9, 2026 to February 17, 2027, and registration is open until March 29, 2027. It is not a job application. The 2027 summer internship has closed, and as of October 26 BCG had not posted the next window.
Summer internship applications close November 10, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. local time. Keep your top two offices the same across applications.
Applications open January 1, 2027 and close January 24. BCG decides after the deadline, so applying later in the window does not hurt you.
Zurich and Geneva take internship applications all year, with no fixed deadlines. BCG recommends applying at least six months before the start date you want, through its online portal.
BCG's global page says shortlisted applicants get a problem-solving interview. The steps before it differ by office.
US
Sent 30 to 90 minutes after you apply. It takes 30 to 35 minutes and you have 48 hours to finish it. MBAs with a US, Canadian or Mexican office take it too.
US
Selected undergrads get one of about 35 minutes about two weeks after the deadline. MBA applicants take one of about 40 minutes.
London
A short numerical assessment, a final CV review, then case discussions with senior members of the London team.
Switzerland
A virtual cognitive test, then three in-person case interviews. In Germany and Austria, round two is virtual for internships.
BCG's rounds are case interviews with questions about you. These are in our words, in BCG's style, with what a strong answer does.
BCG says there isn't always a single right answer. Your approach counts.

Our suggestion for the weeks between applying and your first round.
Before you apply
In the US the assessment arrives within 90 minutes of applying. Know what it covers before you click submit.
Week 1
If you are invited, it is a timed case on screen with charts and math. Work through a sample under time.
Weeks 2 to 4
Full cases with someone asking one question at a time, a partner or an AI interviewer. Drill the math by hand in between.
Soreno's AI interviewer runs BCG-style cases one question at a time, checks your math and asks fit questions with follow-ups, then scores the session. Start your free week.
It depends on the office. Next up: US MBA summer applications close November 10, 2026, and London takes applications from January 1 to 24, 2027. BCG had not posted its next US undergrad window by October 26, 2026 (summer 2027 has closed). Until then, US and Canadian undergrads can register for BCG Launch, which runs November 9, 2026 to February 17, 2027.
BCG does not state intern pay on the internship pages we read. For the full-time role, our BCG salary page shows base pay by level from US H-1B filings.
BCG says a few weeks to a year, depending on the role and location. London's summer internship is eight weeks in July and August. Switzerland's Visiting Associate program is eleven weeks.
Not in the US. BCG's US page says cover letters are not required for summer or full-time applications, and you can add one under other documents.
In the US, the Consultant Career Assessment, an online case for selected candidates, then case interviews. In London, a numerical test and case interviews. In Switzerland, a cognitive test and three in-person cases.
Yes. BCG calls internships a common pathway into full-time consulting. London evaluates interns for a graduate offer at the end, and Switzerland may offer strong interns a full-time role.
