Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Soreno, answered in one place.

Soreno is interview practice with a voice AI interviewer. You answer MBA admissions interview questions out loud, the interviewer follows up, and you get a score out of 100 with your own words quoted and what to say instead.
It is a voice interview in your browser. The AI interviewer asks the question out loud, listens to your answer and asks follow-up questions on what you said, the way a real interviewer would. You talk, it talks back. No scheduling, any time of day.
Why an MBA and why now, your short- and long-term goals, a walkthrough of your resume, why this school, what you will contribute, and leadership, teamwork and setback stories. The questions are in the style of HBS, Wharton and Stanford GSB interviews. Soreno is not affiliated with any school.
HBS interviews run about 30 minutes with admissions staff who have read your application, and you write a short reflection within 24 hours after. Wharton has a Team-Based Discussion with other applicants plus a short one-on-one. Stanford GSB interviews are mostly with alumni and mostly behavioral. Soreno helps you practice the one-on-one answers out loud.
The HBS rules are about the interview day itself: HBS says AI tools, including transcription, summarization and note-taking apps, are strictly prohibited during the interview, and it doesn't expect outside help with your Post-Interview Reflection (hbs.edu/mba/your-interview/logistics). Soreno is for practice beforehand: never use it during a real interview, and it never writes your reflection. Other schools set their own rules, so check each school's site.
After each mock you get a score out of 100 in three parts: structure, content and communication, each with a short reason. The report quotes your own words, says what to say instead and shows a model answer to compare with yours.
Yes. Start your free week with 6 practice credits. One question uses 1 credit, so you can run several full mocks and see your scores before you pay anything. Yes. Cancel in your settings in a couple of clicks, during the free week or after. There is no contract.
Every question works for any MBA admissions interview, and some are written in the style of HBS, Wharton, Stanford GSB, Booth, Kellogg, Columbia, MIT Sloan and Tuck interviews. Soreno is not affiliated with any school.
Yes. Upload your resume in the app and the AI interviewer asks about it the way an admissions interviewer who has read your file would.
Yes. Every mock is saved with its recording, transcript, score and feedback, so you can see how your answers change over time.
ChatGPT answers when you type. Soreno asks the question out loud, follows up on what you say like an interviewer would, and scores every answer the same way, so you practice the interview itself.
