Only what each firm's own pages say, read October 26, 2026. Of the firms we checked, EY is the only one whose own page names Pymetrics. Prep sites name other firms, but we found no page of those firms that does, so we don't.
EYEY's privacy notice for Pymetrics says the tool assesses candidates with a psychometric assessment based on game technology. Gameplay from EY people who do well in a role builds a model, candidates for that role take the same assessment, and fit is a percentile match against the model. Recruiters see Highly Recommend, Recommend or Do Not Recommend. It does not say which countries or roles use it.
BCGBCG's US associate page says the Consulting Career Assessment arrives 30 to 90 minutes after you apply, and selected candidates then take an online case of about 35 minutes. It does not name Pymetrics or any vendor, and no current BCG careers page we searched does.
McKinseyMcKinsey describes Solve as a gamified assessment of problem-solving abilities in its consultant recruitment process, and says there's no need to prepare.
BainBain's digital assessment page says the email after you apply tells you whether you take Sova or TestGorilla, and that the assessment takes about 30 to 40 minutes.
