Best AI Case Interview Tools in 2026, Compared by Use Case

Kasie, CaseWithAI, Case Study Prep AI, PrepPartnr, mbb.ai, Road to Offer and Soreno compared: prices, free options and which tool fits your situation.

Title card: AI case interview tools, compared. Which tool fits which situation, October 2026

There is no single best AI case interview tool. The right one depends on three things: how much you want to spend, whether you want to speak your answers out loud, and whether you are preparing only for consulting or for several kinds of interviews. As of October 2026, Kasie is free during its beta, CaseWithAI and Case Study Prep AI are the cheapest ways to pay per case, Road to Offer and CaseWithAI are the low-cost unlimited options for consulting only, and Soreno is the one to look at if you want a voice interviewer for consulting, finance, product and behavioral practice in one subscription.

Who wrote this. We make Soreno, so we are not neutral, and we did not give ourselves a #1 spot. Everything below about other tools comes from each tool's own public pages, read on 11 October 2026, with the page linked. Everything about Soreno comes from our own product and pricing page. We did not run paid trials of the other tools for this page, so we do not grade their feedback quality or give scores. Instead, the last section shows you how to test any of them yourself in one session.

Quick picks by situation

  • You want to try AI case practice for free: Kasie (free during beta), then the free case or free start offered by Road to Offer, CaseWithAI, Case Study Prep AI and mbb.ai.
  • You only need a handful of cases: CaseWithAI's pay-as-you-go credits or a Case Study Prep AI case pack.
  • You want unlimited consulting practice on a budget: CaseWithAI or Road to Offer.
  • You have a BCG Casey online case coming up: a tool that lists a Casey simulator, such as Case Study Prep AI or Road to Offer.
  • You want to speak your answers and get feedback on delivery: Soreno or PrepPartnr.
  • You are recruiting for consulting and finance, product or behavioral rounds at the same time: Soreno.
  • You need a real person to pressure-test you: a peer partner or a coach (see the last situation below).

Which tool for which situation

You want to try AI case practice without paying

Start with Kasie. Its pricing section says it is free during beta and states: "No credit card required. Premium plans coming later." Its FAQ adds that beta users get "full access to every case and feature." The trade-off is a smaller library for now: the homepage lists 20 cases and says the library is growing.

Several other tools have a free entry point that is enough to judge the format. Road to Offer lists "one full AI-graded case and daily drills, no card." CaseWithAI offers a free case assessment with no credit card. Case Study Prep AI says "No Credit Card Required" next to its free trial button. mbb.ai's FAQ answers "Is mbb.ai free?" with "Yes! Can start practicing for free," with a premium plan later. Soreno's 7-day free trial includes two mock interviews and three drills, but checkout asks for a payment method (you are not charged if you cancel during the trial), so it is not the zero-commitment option.

You only need a few cases, or your budget is tight

If you want to pay only for what you use, CaseWithAI's Flex plan is the clearest: $1 a credit with a $5 minimum, 4 credits per case practice, and credits never expire. Case Study Prep AI sells packs instead: $35 for 5 mock interviews or $50 for 20, both including fit and BCG Casey simulations and a case generated from a job posting.

Soreno is not the cheap option here. At $199 a month, a few cases are cheaper elsewhere. Our plans make more sense when you will practice a lot over several weeks.

You are recruiting for consulting only and want unlimited practice

Two tools are priced for this. CaseWithAI's unlimited plan is $50 a month or $150 for 6 months, with a 7-day money-back guarantee, and includes drills and a case interview course. Road to Offer's Pro plan is $49 a month, $120 for 90 days or $249 a year, and its pricing page lists 71 practice cases and 550+ drills across 6 types.

Both cost less per month than Soreno. If you will never need finance, product or behavioral practice and you are happy with their format after the free case, either is a reasonable choice.

You have a BCG Casey or other online assessment

Use the invitation from the firm as your source for the format, and start with BCG's own preparation material. Then, if you want a simulator, pick a tool that lists one: Case Study Prep AI lists BCG Casey simulations in its packs, and Road to Offer lists a Casey simulator alongside other online assessments.

Soreno does not simulate Casey. Our AI interviewer practices the underlying skills out loud (structure, data, math and a recommendation), and our guide to BCG's Casey online case covers what BCG says about the format.

You want to speak your answers and hear how you come across

A real case interview is spoken, so practicing out loud matters. Case Study Prep AI describes "voice-powered mock interviews" where you speak naturally. PrepPartnr describes "live, voice-driven consulting case simulations" and metrics on "pacing, speech fillers, tone stability." Road to Offer has a voice case mode. Kasie reads questions aloud with AI voices. CaseWithAI's and mbb.ai's homepages do not say whether you answer by voice or by typing, so check in their free case.

In Soreno you speak to an MBB-trained AI interviewer that asks follow-up questions and shows exhibits, in McKinsey, BCG or Bain style, or a strict or coaching style. Feedback quotes your own answer and gives a next-step plan, and recorded sessions also get filler-word and eye-contact analysis.

You are recruiting for more than consulting

Most AI case tools are built for consulting only. If you are also interviewing for investment banking, private equity, product management or a behavioral round, you would otherwise pay for two or three tools. Soreno has 500+ practice questions, including 80+ full case studies, across consulting, finance and behavioral, plus product interview practice, all in one subscription and one practice history. Road to Offer is the other tool here that covers behavioral and McKinsey PEI practice alongside cases.

You need a real person, not an AI

AI tools are good for volume and for practicing at any hour. They are not a full replacement for a human who can read the room. Even CaseWithAI's own FAQ recommends layering in "roughly 20% live practice." For live practice, a peer partner through PrepLounge or your consulting club costs from free to $69 a year, and a coach costs about $200 an hour on RocketBlocks' listing. Our comparison of ways to practice case interviews has the details and sources. If you do not have a partner yet, our case interview partner page has a free sample case you can run without signing up.

Where Soreno is not the best fit

We would rather you pick the right tool than the wrong one from us. Based on the pages above:

  • If your budget is tight and you only need consulting, CaseWithAI ($50 a month) and Road to Offer ($49 a month) cost much less than Soreno ($199 a month).
  • If you want completely free practice, Kasie is free during its beta, and several tools offer a free case without a card. Soreno's trial asks for a payment method.
  • If you need a Casey simulator, Soreno does not have one.
  • If you need a human, no AI tool, including ours, replaces a coach or a strong partner in the last week before a final round.

Soreno is a better fit when you want lots of spoken practice with follow-up questions, feedback that quotes you, delivery analysis, and coverage beyond consulting. Yearly, Soreno is $349, about $29 a month. For a fuller answer, see is Soreno worth it.

How to test any AI case tool in one session

Because we did not test the other tools for this page, here is how to judge them yourself, using each one's free case or trial:

  1. Give a weak structure on purpose. Use overlapping buckets. A good interviewer pushes back instead of praising it.
  2. Make a math mistake. See whether it catches the error or moves on.
  3. Pause for 20 seconds. A good tool waits and lets you think; a weak one fills the silence with the next step of the analysis.
  4. Read the feedback. It should point to specific moments in your answer and tell you what to do next, not just give a score.
  5. Check the format you need. Spoken or typed, interviewer-led or candidate-led, and the firm or role you are recruiting for.

Our guide to practicing case interviews with AI has a fuller checklist and a two-week plan.

What about ChatGPT?

A general chatbot can run a case if you write the setup, the data and the grading rules yourself. It costs little, but it tends to agree with weak answers and can drift into solving the case for you. We compared the two approaches in can ChatGPT replace mock interviews.

FAQ

What is the best AI case interview tool in 2026?

It depends on your situation. For free practice, start with Kasie (free during beta) or a free case from Road to Offer, CaseWithAI or Case Study Prep AI. For low-cost unlimited consulting practice, CaseWithAI or Road to Offer. For spoken practice with delivery feedback across consulting, finance, product and behavioral interviews, Soreno. We make Soreno, so test any tool with its free option before you pay.

Are there free AI case interview tools?

Yes. As of October 2026, Kasie is free during its beta, mbb.ai lets you start for free, Road to Offer offers one full AI-graded case and daily drills without a card, CaseWithAI has a free case assessment, and Case Study Prep AI has a free trial with no credit card. Soreno has a 7-day free trial that asks for a payment method.

Which AI case interview tools let you speak your answers?

Case Study Prep AI, PrepPartnr, Road to Offer (voice case mode) and Soreno all describe spoken practice on their pages. Kasie reads questions aloud with AI voices. CaseWithAI's and mbb.ai's homepages do not say whether answers are spoken or typed.

How much do AI case interview tools cost?

From the tools' own pages in October 2026: Case Study Prep AI packs are $35 for 5 cases or $50 for 20; CaseWithAI is $1 a credit (4 credits a case) or $50 a month; Road to Offer is $49 a month or $249 a year; Soreno is $199 a month or $349 a year, weekly from $64. Kasie is free during beta, and PrepPartnr and mbb.ai do not list prices on their public pages.

Can AI replace a human case partner or coach?

Not completely. AI is better for volume, availability and consistent feedback on structure, math and wording. A person is better at reacting to tone and judging whether you would convince a real interviewer. Most candidates do the bulk of their reps with AI and add live practice near the real interview.

How did you build this comparison?

We read each tool's own homepage, pricing page and FAQ on 11 October 2026 and used only what those pages say, with links. We did not use review sites or our own trials of competitors, and we did not score or rank the tools. Soreno facts come from our product and pricing page. If a tool changes its prices or features, its own page is the source to trust.
